Cat allergies are in the top ranking for the most common causes of human respiratory allergies (holding third place). Regardless, veterinarians have noticed that many people, in spite of their allergy, have cats, and perhaps they could provide some guidance to the cat owners if more information was available. Because of this, the present review dived deep into the human cat allergy current and historical information by analysing the possible strategies for symptomatic management and a reduction in the exposure to cat allergens, rather than pharmacotherapy or immunotherapy.
