The study evaluated a cardiac protection blend (CPB) of nutrients in a 6-month dietary intervention to investigate changes in the metabolism of certain components.
Numerous metabolites were identified reflecting improved cardiac bioenergetics and fatty acid utilization by cardiac mitochondria in dogs fed the CPB diet.
Metabolomic markers also suggest improved cellular redox state and reduced inflammation in MMVD dogs fed the CPB diet.
